The Lord rebuilds Jerusalem,

and gathers the dispersed of Israel,

Healing the brokenhearted,

and binding up their wounds. (147:2-3)

Reflection

One of the pillars of Jesus’ disciples is to bring together God’s children. To bring healing is another pillar.

Healing comes in many different ways, but they all have one thing in common, a fire for unity.

God healed Job, repairing his broken heart (see Job 7:1-7). Jesus cured Peter’s mother, restoring her to serve others (see Mark 1: 29-31).

To minister for unity means healing the brokenhearted and binding up their wounds.

Today’s Intention: Lord, strengthen us, that we may be ministers of unity.

Peace and Goodness
