As we approach the closing of the Jubilee Year of Mercy – November 20 – what a better way to celebrate it than by praying the Divine Mercy Novena in preparation for the feast day of St. Faustina, which is Oct. 5.
The novena consists of praying for a specific prayer intention on each day followed by the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Daily prayers intentions are as follows:
Sept. 26, all mankind, especially sinners;
Sept. 27, souls of priests and religious;
Sept. 28, devout and faithful souls;
Sept. 29, those who do not believe in Jesus and those who do not yet know Him;
Sept. 30, the souls of those who are separated from the Church;
Oct. 1, the meek and humble souls and the souls of children;
Oct. 2, the souls who especially venerate and glorify Jesus’ mercy;
Oct. 3, the souls who are detained in purgatory; and
Oct. 4, the souls who have become lukewarm.
May the Peace and Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
