“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” (Matthew 5:6)

When we hunger and thirst for righteousness our thoughts, words, and deeds are aimed to holiness; to be closer to God. When our bodies hunger and thirst for human nourishment, we do all we can to eat and drink to survive. The same concept applies to righteousness for it is through it that God guarantees everlasting life.
