We are one week away from the Passion of the Lord; a day when we remember the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. In today’s gospel we hear Jesus telling his enemies: “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?”

When I read this passage, it reminds me that every day is filled with moments that either glorify or kill Jesus.  These can occur at work or at home, while watching TV or listening to radio, while reading a book or a comic strip, while talking with a friend or a stranger, while in public or alone, while driving to the grocery store or walking to the park. Because of the Fall of Adam and Eve, we are never free from sin but because of the crucifixion of Jesus, redemption is available to us.

Today, let’s pray to the Holy Spirit for wisdom to make the right choice every moment of our day: to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ.
